On Friday, October 11, 2013 more than 50 prominent members of Sacramento community gathered gathered at a local restaurant, to launch Sacramento Chapter of American Muslim Voice Foundation. The AMV was founded over a decade ago to build bridges and relationship on grass roots level.
After a sumptuous dinner at Shaz Restaurant MC for the event Mr.Naeem Syed, a prominent member of the community, invited Qari Aamir Hussain, Imam of the Woodland Mosque, to start the program with the recitation of Holy Quran.
Samina Sundas, Executive Director of AMV, who came from Palo Alto to attend the meetinh, shared with the audience the goals and objectives of American Muslim Voice. 
Meer Shams Nazeer made a presentation on the accomplishments of the AMV.
After that Khalid Saeed National President of AMV introduced Muhammad Asif Sattar President of the new chapter and members of the advisory board of the chapter.
Mr. Sattar in his address explained the reasons for joining the AMV. He stressed the importance of the inter-community and intra-community building work.
There was a question answer session afterwards and members of the audience shared their thoughts as well.
