Yolo County District Attorney

Yolo County DA2

Picture shows from Left: Dr. Jesse Ortiz President Latino Community Council, Former Mayor Gary Sandy, Laura Valdes Manager "DA's VICTIM SERVICES PROGRAM", Community activist Bill Patty, Khalid Saeed National President American Muslim Voice, & Jonathan Raven Chief Deputy District Attorney.

The Yolo County District Attorney invited some community leaders  to meet  two managers of  County DA office to discuss issues and get feedback about starting a new program i.e. forming a  " Community Council" at the office of the Yolo County District Attorney.

The purpose of the Community Council will be to  establish contact with the community and to seek fair and equal justice for all.  The Council will also facilitate understanding, and ensure open communication. It will also help promote community participation and inclusion within the criminal justice.

This was the first meeting where the managers of DA office and community leaders exchange ideas.

Among those who attended the meeting was Khalid Saeed, National President of the American Muslim Voice and Director of Woodland Mosque.
