American Muslim Voice Foundation, Former Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese and Friends of Human Relations, Santa Clara County held a peace picnic on September 11, 2014, to commemorate that 9/11 tragedy anniversary. Former Santa Clara County Director of the Office of Human Relations, Dave Cortese, was the key note speaker at the colorful event which included multi-faith prayers. Nine-year- old Machelle Ahmed thrilled the gathering with her amazing rendition of the national anthem. Here is a report by KTVU tv network about the peace picnic.
